Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 4... Fit For an Ice Queen!
All you need is tissue paper to make these beautiful stand decorations.
Fold one sheet in half lengthwise, then make five-inch wide accordion folds. Along one short end, draw drippy icicles. Cut out. If you need more pieces, cut a fresh straight edge, then draw and cut out more icicles. Layer white tissue over blue, and attach with double-sided tape, and voila!!!

Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 3 Santa's Helpers
It has come to our attention that these elf figurines are a joy to make.
All you need are pinecones, pipe cleaners, and other simple supplies. Furthermore, the charming sprites have many applications. They can be used as decorations on a mantel, under a tree, or atop presents.

When You Wish Upon a Star...
Remember when you used to dream of a wedding that Cinderella would be proud of? Or those amazing dresses your Barbie used to wear when you arranged her wedding to Ken? Well now you really can make those dreams a reality!!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found out that both Disney and Barbie now do bridal ranges! I was actually searching for an unusual princess style dress for one of my best friends weddings, when I came across these delightful dresses, that are both stylish (in their own right!) and incredibly fun!!

For best results, snip each loop at an angle, rather than straight across the middle. Fill an empty spot on a large bow with a smaller snipped bow, affixed with its adhesive backing. Then fill the center with a matching coil of ribbon attached with double-sided tape.

In the Halloween spirit...
Who said Halloween was just about Trick-or-Treat and ghost stories?!
As with any occasion Halloween can be transformed into an absolutely magical event, which children will love and the grown-up's will enjoy!
Halloween doesn't have to be scary, why not make the most of Autumn's finest, and make it a lovely, family orientated, cosy affair, with apple bobbing and tasty stews, then out into the garden for
a spot of treat hunting? You could get the children involved with making Halloween inspired biscuits, cakes and other treats, as well as decorating the venue with homemade, personal decorations.
If you have older children, are having friends around, or throwing an extravagent party, there are so many different ways to incorporate as many spooky bits and bobs as possible, including cakes, cocktails, and candles, as well as the traditional spooky costumes and party games!
Halloween can also be a much more elegant occasion. Substitute buffet style food for a sit down meal at an ornately decorated dinner table, or decadent canopes.
There's no reason why the theme has to be black, orange, and green, try rich purples, golds, and silvery whites for a more grown-up take on Halloween.

Tea For Two... Plus a few friends!!
There's nothing better than a gorgeous summery tea party, so why not use this as a basis for your summer 2012 wedding?
There are plenty of different takes on this theme, from elegant pastels,
that are perfect in a country garden setting, to colourful, more party-like ideas, that wouldn't look out of place in a large manor house garden.
Now I know that you can hardly count on the Great British Summer whilst deciding on a venue or theme, but who says a tea party has to be outside?
There are plenty of beautiful venues of all sizes, and in lots of different locations,
whether you're looking for something very grand and elegant, something more cozy and traditional,
or a quirky retreat. The tea party also works very well in a marquee setting.

Hi!
This is my first ever blog attempt, so here goes...
Fit For a Queen is a one woman Wedding Planning and Event Organising company based in Weston-Super-Mare. After speaking to several friends in similar industries I decided that having a blog might be a good way to meet people, make new contacts, bounce around ideas, show off what I do best, and, ofcourse, find potential new customers.I'm planning on showing you some of my work pretty soon, as well as interviewing other local people that you may find interesting, and telling you about any exciting finds I come across along the way!
